Dr. Byrd’s extension and research program is focused on cotton agronomics for Oklahoma’s cotton producers.  The goal of the program is to provide timely research based information for cotton producers to utilize as decision-making tools in their operation to optimize productivity and profitability. This is a collaborative effort involving other programs within the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, as well as the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, federal agencies such as the USDA, faculty members involved in cotton research from universities across the country, allied industry, as well as state and national commodity organizations.
