Alderman

Dr. Alderman's research program is focused on characterizing climate impacts on agricultural systems and on developing strategies to improve the resilience of these systems. He brings his past experience with dynamic simulation modeling of perennial forage and row cropping systems to address issues important to Oklahoma agricultural producers, such as heat and drought.

Alderman - Read More…

Anderson

Anderson considers that plant productivity is a function of interactions between the plant and microbial genomes, currently referred to as the “hologenome” and that the microbial interaction is a major and often underappreciated player in this productivity relationship.

Arnall

Dr. Arnall’s extension, teaching, and research efforts are focused on precision technologies and nutrient management in all of Oklahoma’s cropping systems with an emphasis in site specific techniques. He works closely with extension educators and industry personnel to improve nutrient management practices in Oklahoma that will lead to increased profitability of Oklahoma producers.

Lofton

Josh Lofton's program emphasis will be to develop and integrate agronomic and economically viable cropping systems within Oklahoma, focusing on crop rotation, tillage, planting practices, and harvest management. In addition, Dr. Lofton serves as the state canola and oilseed production specialist.

Lofton - Read More…

Manucheri

Dr. Manuchehri has an active Extension program at Oklahoma State University where she examines weed management systems in winter wheat and winter canola. She also teaches Principles of Weed Science, an undergraduate/graduate course that introduces students to weed biology and ecology, herbicide chemistry, and weed control methods.

Manucheri - Read More…

Ochsner

The mission of Dr. Ochsner’s soil physics research and teaching program is to help people better understand and appreciate the soil, the soil water balance, and the surface energy balance so that we can more wisely manage and conserve the land and water with which we have been entrusted.

Tadege

Dr. Tadege’s current research is focused on identifying genes and genetic networks required for biomass synthesis and accumulation during development, especially those involved in regulating leaf blade development. Part of his work involves developing genomic tools to facilitate gene discovery in efficient biomass producing C4 grasses.

Tadege - Read More…

Warren

Dr. Warren’s research and extension efforts focus on management practices to reduce soil erosion and improve soil quality in both the agricultural and urban landscapes. He is also engaged in activities aimed at increasing water use efficiency and reducing the transport of contaminates to surface and subsurface waters.

Warren - Read More…

Wu

Dr. Wu's research is focused on the development of new cultivars, and genetic and genomic research on important agronomic traits in bermudagrass used for turf and forage, and switchgrass for bioenergy.

Wu - Read More…

Yan

Dr. Yan's lab primarily studies genetic basis and molecular mechanisms of flowering time in wheat. Wheat cultivars are classified as two general types: winter wheat requiring a period of low temperature to accelerate flowering (vernalization) and spring wheat without the requirement.

Yan - Read More…

Zhang

Dr. Zhang’s extension and research programs focus on agricultural testing, plant nutrient management and environmental quality protection. He has been actively promoting soil testing as a best management practice for fertilizer and animal waste utilization, and developing decision support tools for farmers and crop consultants.
