Dr. Manuchehri received the Outstanding PhD Award from the Southern Weed Science Society
Dr. Misha Manuchehri joined the Oklahoma State University faculty in July 2016 as an Assistant Professor and Small Grains and Canola Weed Extension Specialist. Misha grew up in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington and completed her B.S. and M.S. degrees at Washington State University in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences. Following graduation, she continued her education at Texas Tech University where she earned a Ph.D. under Dr. Peter Dotray. Thus far, Misha has authorship on 7 peer-reviewed publications and 48 scientific abstracts, including several 1st and 2nd place awards at the SWSS and Beltwide Cotton Conferences. She has taught four weed science courses and delivered 15 extension presentations. Currently, Dr. Manuchehri has an active Extension program at Oklahoma State University where she examines weed management systems in small grains and winter canola. She also teaches Principles of Weed Science, an undergraduate/graduate course that introduces students to weed biology and ecology, herbicide chemistry, and weed control methods.
